How far in advance should I book my event?
Living Sculpture Sanctuary mainly hosts one event per day, so our dates do book very quickly. During peak season, our dates can be booked up 15 to 24 months in advance. The sooner you can book your date, the better.
Can I bring my own vendors?
Yes; Although we highly recommend to work with our preferred vendors, we do allow outside vendors. Before performing services, the new vendor must be approved for which a new application package, along with a processing fee depending on the category of services must be submitted. Catering, rentals and Dj/entertainment services do incur on a new vendor application fee. The new vendors must submit a complete application along with all required documentation, including proof of sufficient insurance to LSS at least 30 days before the event day.
Does LSS require police security for the event?
Yes; Living Sculpture Sanctuary requires a police detail from the City of Davie to be present during the event until brakedown is completed. The starting time of the police detail depends on event's hours. LSS will do a request to the City of Davie on behalf of the client, but the cost for this service will be covered by the client with a check payable to the Town of Davie at the ongoing hourly rate. This check is due 30 days before event date.
Are there any decoration restrictions?
Yes; We immensely care about the safety of our Sanctuary, especially our beautiful gardens and wildlife. For this reason, we do not allow hellium balloons, bubbles, glitter, confetti, birdseed, rice or any plastic unnatached decorations, open flames or other decor that may damage the Sanctuary infrastructure. Candles must be enclosed in a glass holder or lanterns. Sparklers send-offs are allowed only at the Healing Falls Esplanade or in front of the Fire Boulder area and are limited to 24 sparklers with a maximun length 20 inches each.
Do I need to make an appoitment for a site visit/tour?
Yes; An appointment is required to ensure availability and non interfere with ongoing events. Our calendar gets filled pretty quickly, so we recommend setting your tour at least two weeks in advance, specially if you are planning to visit us on weekend days.
What are the event hours?
Our main event hours are from 5:00 pm - 11:00pm. We might costomize other packages based on events needs. No event is allowed after 11:00 pm.
Is the venue available for events other than weddings?
Yes; LSS is the ideal venue to celebrate life’s events with a strong connection to Mother Nature such as:
Bridal Showers, Engagement Parties, Birthday Parties, Renewal of the Vows, Retirement Parties, Corporate Events and Celebrations of Life.
What should I do in case of rain?
Our venue recommends renting tents through a single authorized company. This company provides customized tents that adapt to each open area of the Sanctuary. To secure the tents, you must contact the company directly at least 48 hours before the event.
